Executive session – 11:30 a.m.
Call to order – 1 p.m.
- Recognition of 2021-2022 student liaisons
- Recognition of Pupil Personnel Worker Month proclamation
- McGraw - tour of Dr. Brown; new teacher ceremony by Alpha Kappa Alpha; Early Childhood Advisory Council meeting and need for mental health assistance at early childhood students; State board of education presidents meeting and discussion about learning loss and mental health resources for students and staff.
- Wilson - tour of Dr. Brown; Outdoor classroom dedication and Billingsley dedication; Blueprint for Maryland Steering Committee; Mental Health Symposium sponsored by PTSO at North Point; Spring Fling with teachers.
- Herd - Student Member of the Board elections - voting has opened and all students in grade 6-12 have an opportunity to vote in English class.
- Brown - Sheriffs crime watch kick off meeting, fentanyl video is a must watch. MSEA retired conference; Billingsley dedication and tour of Dr. Brown; Spring Fling; budget presentation to commissioners.
- Hancock - Billingsley dedication; career day at Dr. Higdon; Mr. Hettel passing
- Lukas - Malcolm outdoor classroom dedication; commissioners meeting for budget; Billingsley dedication; haircut at North Point; career research and development student interview process; Passing of Mr. Hettel.
- Wilson - Geometry in summer school; curious how many would take the class during the summer; incentives for teachers for the enrichment program; CTE exploration camps awesome but challenge is parents nit wanting to promote them.
- Lukas - likes that options are available to free up space on students schedule during the school year. Free and reduced lunch summer program, AlphaBest provided for free. Transportation not provided ourtside of actual program times.
- McGraw - like that there is a break at end of school year before this starts; loves the program; M-Th and partner with AlphaBest and all day daycare on Friday.
- Abell - virtual options for additional opportunities at the high school level.
- Wilson - concerned about lack of transportation
- Herd - Thinks time change will encourage students to go to after party
- Hancock - agree with Wilson and Herd but believes it's a parents responsibility
- Abell - confirm we have access to buildings at fairgrounds in case of inclement weather; YES
- Lukas - board members able to confer diplomas and photos?
- Hancock - concern about budgeting and rising cost of construction

- Brown - use as a motivator for kids. involved in activities.

- John Lush - Eligibility requirements. Teacher and athletic director. 33% of our students are ineligible. Change the standard to allow more access. Personal story.
- Tony Mast - Eligibility requirements. Coach at Lackey. Personal story. Access for kids we can't reach otherwise. Some students need that community support.
- Melissa Carpenter - teacher. Teacher perspective. More inclusion from teachers prior to decisions being made. Not buy in to programs. ownership of programs.
