- Abell - Leadership Institute, New Teacher Orientation, Sign making at Rucci's, NAACP meeting, and Thomas Stone on first day.
- Palko - Leadership Institute; Kyle Smith at State board meeting; retirement ceremony; commissioners for additional funding for training, NAACP meeting.

- Discipline and eligibility - Oral report
- Policy 6431 - 2.5 GPA, no F's, cannot have failed a grade, fewer than 5 days of absence.
- Code of Conduct states if a child is suspended they are ineligible during the suspension. Of course if you were suspended for more than 5 days you would be ineligible.
- Athletic Handbook - student athletes who are suspended do not automatically return to eligibility. Must be reinstated by the Principal and AD. If a second suspension occurs, automatically ineligible for the remainder of the season.

- one school - 307 students participate and of them 13 had been suspended 4.2%
- second school - 614 athletes and of them 18 had been suspended 3%
- Administrators feel extracurricular activities compliment the curriculum and helps getting the student to adult hood.
