Executive session – 12 p.m.
- Lukas - HITS Expo this weekend was fantastic (History, Industry, Technology, Science); Attended Chess Tournament
- Kelly - MESA Competition; Congrats to HITS Expo; Thank you to staff for Town Hall Meetings; MD Veteran Museum Award Winners on May 7; Suggestions for MABE Conferrence; update on International Thespian festival (we will cover cost KH)
- Marshall - Hoyer visit; Senior Citizen Prom; attended state BOE meeting and seminar on ESEA
- Palko - HITS Expo, fascinating Graphics Program at North Point receiving award; attended MASC meeting; thank you to Joseph Pierello - President of CCASC; Senior Citizens Prom; ROTC Drill Meet
- Adding Alabama University due to it's high percentage of diversity and education majors
- low bidder was not awarded due to lack of meeting certain requirements and criteria. Second to lowest was awarded.
- Wont start until after school year is complete. Then at the start of the year, all students will go to transition school.

- Sick Leave Bills - are passing
- HB978/SB871 - States consolidated plan ESSA
- HB461/SB452 - Limit Testing
- HB1240 - Special Education Burden of Proof
- HB174/SB710 - Consent for Changes to IEP
- HB425/SB651 - restrict suspension/expulsion PK-3
- SB760 - allow teachers to request binding arbitration in suspension/termination
- VK - Update from the 4th Circuit on the Transgender Case
- ES - Still before the 4th Circuit now; Federal Government has changed the view but no guidance has been changed yet.
- VK - we are not bound by the 4th circuit ruling now.
- ES - my guidance to the board is to take no action until 4th Circuit decided case.
- Transportation update - discussion carried forward from last month on bus contracts, routes, maintenance, fuel cost etc.
- Discipline Matrix Committees - Team 1 - Crawford, Marshall, McGraw; Team 2 Abell, Palko, Kelly. Come back with ideas for change by May Meeting. (Matrix and Code of Conduct)
- Palko - Status Update on SAIL
- Kelly - Murphy to prepare a synopsis of troops to teachers
- Kelly - Parent demo of he new Student Information System posted on web site

- Stacey Pritchett - TSHS parent. inability to play baseball this year because not enough players. Upset team was canceled. St. Charles is now playing on their fields. Was told they couldn't have just a JV team. She found this information was incorrect and wants to have a JV team.
- Rudy Carrico Jr. - Attorney and Asst coach of TSHS baseball. The rezoning for St. Charles HS has left TS with no athletes. 5 wrestlers, 5 girl basketball, etc. St. Charles baseball using TS baseball. wants a JV team to grow the program.
- James Proctor - Student handbook, governed by Charles County Athletic Council, and is the policy makers. No representation from students and/or parents on this committee. Recommends a student and a parent be placed on the committee.
- Denise Yates - According to Legislative Audit report - unnecessary network access to students. Has there been a data breach? Has a forensic software been ran? worried about identity theft.
- Mark Koch - representing bus contractors. study performed by CCPS is clear that using contractors is best. Contractors not included in study or conversation. Wants to be part of the discussion regarding reimbursement of the fuel tax.
